There is no denying that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has established himself as one of the most discussed young batters in the IPL. The aggressive style of batting, fast scoring, and capacity to influence a game through sheer hitting have given him an iconic status as a young batter with immense promise.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s five best IPL innings so far.
1. 103 off 37 balls vs SRH, IPL 2026
His talent to win matches was evident in that inning. In the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur, Sooryavanshi displayed his aggressive streak by hitting 103 runs in just 37 balls and scoring a century. He took no time in warming up. The player went all out from the very start of his innings, selecting good balls and putting pressure on the bowlers.
What made this particular inning even more spectacular was its brevity. Scoring a hundred in 37 deliveries is quite an impressive achievement, irrespective of the format. Doing it in the IPL becomes twice as difficult as many of the teams boast powerful batting lineups. For many fans, this was his most complete IPL innings.
2. 93 off 38 balls vs LSG, IPL 2026
His next best innings came against Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. In this game, he scored 93 runs from 38 balls and provided a good start for the Rajasthan Royals’ run chase. He missed a century, but the knock was full of intent and confidence from the beginning.
This innings mattered because it showed a slightly different side of his batting. He did not just keep hitting from ball one. He built his innings well, then opened up later and played with more freedom. That balance between patience and aggression makes a young batter even more dangerous in T20 cricket. This clearly indicated his knack for adapting quickly to the matches.
3. 101 off 38 balls vs GT, IPL 2025
This inning proved to be the inning that brought Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to the limelight. He played an inning of 101 runs in just 38 balls against the Gujarat Titans in 2025. It was a big moment for the Rajasthan Royals and for Indian cricket because a young batter had stepped up hugely.
The most important part of this innings was not just the hundred. It was the impact. He played with complete freedom and made the bowling attack look helpless at times. He was playing aggressively, taking frequent boundaries, and never allowed the mounting pressure to affect his performance. As a result, he earned respect among cricket fans, who considered him an upcoming player before the innings. This innings made Sooryavanshi emerge as a promising cricketer in the Indian Premier League.
4. 78 off 26 balls vs RCB, IPL 2026
When Sooryavanshi faced Royal Challengers Bengaluru in one of his innings, he played an aggressive innings of 78 runs from 26 balls. This innings was purely attacking since he played aggressively right from the beginning. Rajasthan Royals needed quick runs, and he delivered exactly that.
What stood out in this innings was his intent. He did not wait too long or play it safe. He went after the bowlers and kept the scoring rate very high. In T20 cricket, such innings often decide the flow of the match. Even though it was not a century, this knock showed his value in a chase and his ability to break the game open in the power play itself.
5. 43 off 16 balls vs PBKS, IPL 2026
Despite being relatively shorter in comparison to previous innings, this one held immense importance for Sooryavanshi. This innings came in the wake of the challenge that was posed by the Punjab Kings to the Rajasthan Royals, and Sooryavanshi contributed 43 runs in 16 balls.. In such circumstances, each run counts.
This innings demonstrated the fact that a small contribution could be crucial for the team.
He attacked the bowling straight away and helped shift the momentum for his team. Not every great IPL knock has to be a century. Sometimes, a fast 16-ball burst can be just as useful. This innings proved that he can help the team in more than one way.
Conclusion
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s top 5 IPL innings are the story of a promising youngster learning to play like a star cricketer in each outing. From his innings of 101 against the Gujarat Titans to 103 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, each inning helped Vaibhav grow into the player he is today. The best thing about Vaibhav is that there is much more left to be seen from him. It will not surprise anyone if, in the coming years, many other exciting innings follow from the bat of this youngster.
